On the state of chlorophyll in vivo.

چکیده

Die röntgenografisch gefundene Elektronendichte-Verteilung der Schichtstruktur der Chloroplastenlamellen weist darauf hin, daß die Porphyrinringe des Chlorophylls eine separate Schicht zwischen einer Proteinund einer polaren Lipidschicht bilden. Basierend auf diesem Ergebnis kann gezeigt werden, daß die Porphyrinringplatten der Chlorophylltypen, die bei 673, 683 und jenseits 705 nm absorbieren, mit 5 5 ° gegen die Lamellenebene geneigt sind. Der Neigungswinkel der Übergangsmomente beträgt entsprechend 35° . Als Ursache für das Auftreten der Absorptionsbanden bei 673, 683 und 705 nm werden zwei verschiedene Parallel-Dimere bzw. höhere lineare Porphyrinring-Aggregationen angesehen. Je 4 Dimere C 673 bzw. C 683 werden einem ProteinSubpartikel mit einem Flächenbedarf von 41 ,4-41 ,4 Ä zugeordnet. Dimere des Chlorophylltyps 695, deren Übergangsmomente der Rotabsorption parallel zur Lamellenebene ausgerichtet sind, werden nicht an der Phasengrenze Protein —Lipid, sondern innerhalb der Zentren der Protein-Subpartikel vermutet.
